The European private sector strengthens their position in Latin America in the “IV Regional Workshop ELANBiz-Eurocámaras”
The Eurocámaras of ELANBiz project held its “IV Regional Workshop ELANBiz-Eurocámaras” in Mexico on October 10th and 11th, 2017. During the Workshop, they validated the Strategic Position Document of the Eurocámaras Network in Latin America.
ELANBiz is a project financed by the European Union – EU -, which through a virtual platform www.elanbiz.org offers free information services on market access to companies and European organisations interested in exporting or investing in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru.
The document develops the strategic positioning of these Eurocámaras in the context of economic and trade relations between the EU and Latin America and makes a series of proposals aimed at strengthening the role of European business organisations in Latin America. Public-private collaboration is also promoted in the framework of the implementation of EU “economic diplomacy”.
This document addresses public and private actors involved in the development of economic and trade relations between the EU and Latin America. It also calls for coordination of efforts and closer collaboration between the Eurocámaras with the aim of advancing in the development of interregional relations based on complementarity and balance.
The ELANBiz project supports the strengthening of the Eurocámaras in the ELANBiz countries. Since September 2016, the project has been carrying out a series of activities to strengthen Eurocámaras, such as to support the preparation of position papers and technical training for financial access, among other activities.
The document was presented by the Eurocámaras Network at the Latin America Business Forum, the Caribbean and the European Union held on October 12th, 2017 in Mexico City. An invitation was made for the other Eurocámaras of the region to join to the initiative.
